Job Summary
The student employee position assists those students with needs in hearing and vision that attend the HILIA Program within Thomas Metcalf and University High Schools. General duties consist of supervising indoor and outdoor lunch/recess, providing verbal directions or guidance during movement activities, and/or assisting students with extracurricular activities.
The Heart of Illinois Low Incidence Association (HILIA) encompasses students who are blind or have low vision and/or are deaf or hard of hearing. Students range from age 3 through high school.

Pay Rate
$15.00/hour
Required Qualifications
Must have availability 11:00-12:00 and/or 12:00-1:00 most days of the week.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with school aged children. Skill with sign language.
Work Hours
During the school day 7:00A.M -3:00P.M and possible after school hours. 2-8 hours weekly.

This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable, an employment history review, based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review.
