Job Summary
The Academic Advisor is responsible for assisting with Freshmen Preview Orientation, specifically meeting with students regarding course registration on Day 2 for the advisement of students of selected majors within the Honors Program.
Additional Information
This is a non-continuous position. The initial appointment will be from June through August. Appointment renewal will be based on available funding and performance.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$22 Hourly
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. Advising experience
2. Participation in or experience with an Honors Program.
Work Hours
3-4 hours per day; 8-14 hours per week; Based on Preview schedule needs.
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods
2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis
